The Celtic boss insisted he was not afraid of dismissal, asserting, “I believe we are really close to a turnaround,” despite sliding worryingly close to the chopping block with a comprehensive setback against Rangers.

“The level we had at times was exceptionally high. This is the reality. I could not say that if it was untrue. Therefore, in terms of results, I said we've seen this before. For that reason I believe we are really close to things turning around. But for the moment: details, details, details.”

“We produced a lot of encouraging signs that we did, like today again. But now is performing for 90 minutes. My outlook would change if it was not the case. Therefore I am convinced we will manage to fix this.”

Opposition Reaction Stance

Danny Röhl was cautious about a serious challenge in spite of what seemed like a huge result. “Step by step, then we can really build up momentum,” he said. “The belief in the team is excellent.”
