Nico O’Reilly A further composed display from the youngster after his first cap versus Serbia. A teammate failed to make the opportunity from a clever backheel over the Albania defence. The role is his to lose so soon. Seven

Adam Wharton His first start with the national team. Somewhat sloppy when playing out though his whipped corners posed a danger. A useful tempo-setter for the coach to have against defensive opponents. Booked for a rash foul. 6/10

The midfielder Crosses on corner kicks and free-kicks caused problems. Had freedom to move on the left yet found himself in an offside position as the pass came with a chance to score. Granted a well-earned rest after an hour. 6

Jude Bellingham Operated in a forward position down the right while also put in dirty work. Displayed glimpses of brilliance but dragged an effort wide. Withdrawn in the closing stages by Rogers, his competition, following a yellow card. Seven

The winger Had the team's top opening before halftime, his strike excellently kept out from the opposing goalkeeper. With a teammate holding position, he was forced to stretch the play out wide but his crosses into the box varied in quality. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. Six

Harry Kane The decisive figure netting 77th and 78th finishes at international level. The first a classic opportunist's goal and the second a classy headed goal following a clever run from his marker. Now 32, he’s only getting better and the side stand a real opportunity in the upcoming tournament with him up top. Eight

The attacker Found it tough to get into the game from the left. Was presented with a decent opportunity following a pass from a teammate yet Strakosha made the save. His replacement had a greater influence in his place. Five
